Based upon our experience, we have been able to identify certain cannabinoid and terpene profiles that are targeted to specific outcomes.

Our pain pack contains three of our premium formulas – one from our terpenes enriched collection, one from our strains collection, and one from our CBG collection.

This formula contains myrcene, which is also found in hops, mangos, and thyme.

Of the hundreds of terpenes found in the hemp plant, myrcene is the most common.  Myrcene is biphasic, meaning it may produce different effects depending upon dosage.  In lower dosages, myrcene is reported to have a neutral or stimulating effect, while in higher dosages it may produce a sedative effect.

Some early studies of Myrcene concluded that it decreases the detection of pain in the body by stimulating the release of endorphins.

This formula is enriched with a combination of Myrcene, Pinene, and Linalool terpenes. It is modeled after the “White Widow” strain.

In a 2007 study published in the Brazilian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, scientists concluded A-pinene inhibited the growth of potential infectious endocarditis causing bacteria. Additionally, in a study published in the Journal of Natural Products, scientists concluded that A-pinene was the most effective at inhibiting the inflammatory and catabolic pathways.

Studies indicate Linalool reduces the signaling strength of acetylcholine, a brain chemical that’s required for muscle contraction and movement. Because of this, Linalool may have anesthetic-like effects by reducing the excitability of cells in the spinal cord that transmit pain signals to the brain. Some of Linalool’s effects can be attributed to its elevation of adenosine levels, a brain chemical that is blocked by caffeine.

This formula contains 50% CBD and 50% Cannabigerol (CBG).  CBG is a specialized and powerful cannabinoid that is produced naturally in small quantities in the hemp plant. CBG is the main precursor to all cannabinoids.

This research review article on cannabinoid analgesia identifies CBG as a potent analgesic.

We highly recommend speaking with your doctor before using CBD. This is especially important if you are taking medications. You may also contact our nurse line.
